The GUMC Choirs

music notes

The Choirs at Grace United Methodist Church play an active role in the spiritual life of the congregation AND new choir members are wanted and needed to help expand our activity level.

The Senior Choir consists of music lovers, some who read music and some who say they do not. The Choir practices each Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m. and, for those who cannot practice then, at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday mornings. This choir is present at practically every 11 a.m. worship service, except for a two-month break from mid June to mid August.
There are no auditions to join the choir--positions open for the Senior Choir are soprano, alto, tenor, and bass. There is lots of fun and camaraderie within the choir, and the wages are the satisfaction and joy of being in God's service. We welcome you to join!
Kay Deffley is the director.  Call 457-8785 for more information.

The Grace Children Choir

Among the many choirs at GUMC is the Children's Choir.  This choir is made up of three-year-olds and up. Children's music classes are  Sunday mornings from 9:00 to 9:45.  The director would like to invite any child in this age range to join the group!    The Grace Children Choir participates in the church worship services.

GUMC praises God in many ways with music.  One of those ways is with Handbells.  Anyone who is interested in ringing should call Marilyn Juhlin 549-6729 the director, for more information.  The Handbell Choir plans to participate in the Worship Services two to four times a semester.
